Obituary For Ms. Denise Marie Uher

Denise Marie Uher
May 11, 1964 – September 5, 2026

Denise Marie Uher, of York, South Carolina, said her final goodbyes to her loving family on September 5, 2026, after a six-year journey with cancer. She was 62 years old.

Denise was born on May 11, 1964, in Cleveland, Ohio, to Michael and Joan Menillo, who preceded her in death.

We will never say that Denise “lost her battle,” because if you knew her, you would have never known she was fighting unless she chose to tell you and even that is only a fraction of who she was.

Denise carried her own struggles quietly. Her problems were never anyone else’s to carry, but she had a remarkable way of taking on everyone else’s as if they were her own. Somehow, she could make everything seem better than it was before your problem ever existed. She was the person you could turn to when life felt heavy, knowing that somehow, after talking to her, things would feel a little lighter.

Denise was always a mother and Nonna first, and a wife second. She lived for her children and grandchildren. She was the loving wife of Frank Uher Sr. and the devoted mother of Cassandra Packard (Jacob), Frank Uher Jr., and Vincent Uher.

Her greatest joy in life was her family. She never missed an event, celebration, milestone, or moment that mattered to the people she loved. She always made sure everyone felt loved, cared for, supported, and protected.

Denise was a proud and loving Nonna to Nina, Angelina, Jacob Jr., and Giuliana. Her grandchildren were her world, and the love she had for them was unmistakable. She created memories with them that they will carry with them for the rest of their lives.

She was also a beloved sister, aunt, and friend to many. Denise had a way of making people feel like family, and her presence brought comfort, laughter, and love to so many lives.

Denise was truly an extraordinary woman. Her strength, selflessness, unconditional love, and ability to make everyone around her feel cared for were gifts that touched everyone who had the honor and privilege of knowing her. While her family and friends will miss her more than words can express, the love she gave so freely will continue to live on through her children, grandchildren, family, and all those whose lives she touched.

Denise was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Michael and Joan Menillo.

A Celebration of Life will be held on October 10, 2026, in Ohio. More information regarding the time and location will be provided at a later date.

Parker Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
