  Sue Ann Tuttle (Hunter), beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2026, at the age of 85.

  Born on July 16, 1941, in Maine, Sue Ann eventually made her home in South Carolina, where she spent her later years surrounded by the people she loved most—her miracle child, her daughter Debra Taylor, her son-in-law Shayne Taylor, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

  Sue Ann was truly one of a kind. Independent and strong, she lived life on her own terms while always having room in her heart for others. She was one of the kindest and most generous people you could ever meet, with a wonderful sense of humor and a way of making people feel comfortable simply by being around her.

  To know Sue Ann was to know what it meant to have a safe place. She had a special gift for making people feel accepted, heard, and loved. Her kindness extended far beyond her family, touching the lives of countless people she encountered throughout her life.

  Sue Ann loved Jesus deeply and carried her faith with her throughout her life. She also found joy in the simple things—especially birdwatching, laughing, and spending time with her family. She had a special fondness for Elvis Presley and Chuck Norris; both of whom you could find her listening to or watching at any given time. Her greatest happiness came from being surrounded by the people she loved.

  She leaves behind her sister Rebecca Hunter of Skowhegan, Maine, her daughter, Debra Taylor; her son-in-law, Shayne Taylor; her grandchildren, Amber Striebich, Misty Tuttle, Michael Taylor, Sheyanne Taylor, Elizabeth Barnes, Jacob Taylor, and Sarah Taylor; and her 11 great-grandchildren, all of whom will carry her love and memory in their hearts.

  Though her family will deeply miss her presence, they can find comfort knowing that the love she gave so freely will continue through every generation she touched. Her laughter, kindness, generosity, strength, faith, and unconditional love will never be forgotten.

  Sue Ann was more than a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a safe place, a source of laughter, a gentle heart, and a light in the lives of those who knew her.

  Her physical presence may be gone, but the love she gave will remain—woven into the lives of her family and everyone fortunate enough to have known her.

  Sue Ann will be cremated at Parker Funeral Home in Rock Hill, South Carolina. A private celebration of life will be held with family on Friday, September 11.

  Rest peacefully, Nana. You were loved more than words could ever say, and you will be missed more than words can ever express.
