Carol Darlene Beck, 87, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, January 2, 2026, in Rock Hill, SC, surrounded by her family and her beloved dog, Sophie.
Born April 22, 1938, in Robertsville, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Charles Earl Marriner and Nellie Fern Campbell Marriner. Carol was a dreamer who brought her passions to life. She loved music and became a trained singer, sharing her voice in church choirs, weddings, and productions with the Players Guild of Canton, Ohio. Her love for horses led the family to raise and show Arabian horses. Because of her deep affection for children, she opened a daycare in her home and took great pride in shapingyoung lives. After the loss of their son, Carol and her husband started a children’s ministry, Aunt Carol and Friends, traveling across the country sharing messages of love until moving to South Carolina to be near family. She later worked at Oakdale Elementary School as an after-school teacher and as an aide on special-needs buses. Her greatest passion, however, was her faith, which sustained herher throughout her life.

DeeDee, I am so sorry for your loss. I have a lot of fond memories of your mom & dad. Your mom made a really good cake & I used to visit them when they were young. We had a really good time playing board games. You were just a baby then. Sharon
