Cassandra R. Elder was born on January 28, 1991, to loving parents, Patrica Jones and Rodney Elder, in Marianna, Florida.
She lived life exactly the way she wanted: funny and full of love. Cassandra departed her earthly home May 21, 2026, at Jackson Hospital surrounded by her family, sisters, and friends.
At an early age Cassandra professed Christ as her personal savior and joined Bethel Star Missionary Baptist Church. Cassandra was also educated in the Jackson County school system. Cassandra was also employed at Penny’s Sweatbeans.
Cassandra loved kids, music, and cooking Sunday dinners. She would always take her father a plate, something he would always look for every Sunday. Cassandra also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, and she always was the life of the party.
Cassandra R. Elder was welcomed in heavenly glory by her: sister, Tekeyla T. Elder; mother, Patrica Ann Jones; niece, Navaeh Patricia Brown; and maternal grandparents, Fannie Elder, Willie C. Elder, Elaine Jones, and Thomas Starling.
Cassandra leaves to cherish her precious memories by her loving devoted family: father, Rodney Elder; bonus mom’s, Latasha Scott and Sonya Stringer; sisters, Ashley Williams (Elder), Bridgett Elder, Lashondra Elder, Sharmara Elder, Roneshia Elder, and Nautica Elder (Tyan Mincey); brothers, Antwoin Scott and Rodney Elder, Jr.; aunts, Linda Boykin (Odis Boykin), Darlene Boykin, Dana Boykin Peck (John), and Angel Brooks; uncles, Barry Elder, Charles Elder, Harold Boykin (Angelica Boykin), Odis Boykin, EJ Jones, David Jones, and Willie Elder; special friend, Desiree Harris; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family and friends so many that they truly cannot be counted.
Send flowers to the service of Cassandra R Elder
I did not know her for very long. She came to work for me in January and was a valued member of our team. She always had something positive to say and had a huge smile that was infectious. She left an impression on me and I hope I left one on her. She is missed!!!
