Obituary For Earnest "EJ" Weston

Earnest “EJ” Weston began his earthly journey on February 18, 1934, and lived a joyful life until October 9, 2026. He was born to the late Earnest Sr. and Ernestine Dickens Weston. Affectionately known as “EJ” and “Son Jr.,” he was raised in Marianna, Florida, where he accepted Christ at an early age at Buckhorn Missionary Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Jackson County Training School (JCTS).

Earnest leaves to cherish his memory and continue his legacy of love his daughters, Terri Weston Pickens (Carl), Brenda Weston Pete (Rodell), Cassandra Weston, Kristian Beth Weston, and Cassandra Leann Weston; his granddaughters, Ashley Pickens, Danielle Weston, Alexandria Weston, Monica Speights Linton and Tiffany Pete; and his grandsons, Alex Pickens, Adam Pickens, Owen Weston, Anthony Miller and Rodell Pete Jr. He also leaves a host of great-grandchildren and cousins.

He is also lovingly remembered by his nieces, Jacqueline Johnson Williams, Janice Johnson Orum (Kevin), Regina Weston Speights (Elexander), and Andrea Weston; his nephews, Crushell Weston, Matthew “Fatt” Weston Jr., and Abraham Johnson Sr. (Lucille); and his special nephew, Antonio “Smoov” Matthews.

Among those who held a special place in his life were his cousins, Stanley Wilson, Laura Weston Woodyard, and Ellen Weston Johnson, and his very special friends, Gerald “Jerry” Myrick and Manuel “Rick” Freeman.

Earnest’s life was a testament to the love he shared and the family connections he cherished. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
