Obituary For Little Miss Sameeah Shaheed

Gone too soon, Little Miss Sameeah Sanaa Shaheed gained her wings on Wednesday in the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital in Hollywood, Florida. She was a tender 7 years old. Meeah, as she was affectionately called, attended Sea Castle Elementary School in Miramar, Florida where she was enrolled in the Dual-Language Program. She enjoyed attending church at The Fountain. Sameeah loved praying at family gatherings. Often times she would make notes before giving her thanks. Sameeah enjoyed drawing, singing, dancing to tiktok, spending time with family and doing makeup. As a result of her generous spirit and pleasant personality, she was loved by many. Her life was as beautiful as the dreams she had growing within her, and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. Local survivors include her paternal great grandmother, Gehazel Sims of Greenwood, Florida; three aunts, Cynthia Sims, Celeste Myrick and husband Curtis and Gwen S. Long and husband William all of Marianna, Florida; two uncles, Robin Sims and Reginald Sims both of Greenwood, Florida; and numerous cousins, other relatives and friends. A private gathering celebrating Meeah’s life will be held Monday, April 27th at 11a.m. EST at Gregg L. Mason Funeral Home Chapel in Miami. Interment will follow in the Fred Hunter Memorial Gardens in Hollywood with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna, assisted by Gregg L. Mason Funeral Home.
