Blake T. Moore, Sr. received the gift of lift on March 22, 1952, to the late Lynn Moore and Rose Lee Bryant. With saddened hearts, we announce his transitioned from life to eternity life on November 5, 2025, at the age of 73.
Blake attended the public schools of Jackson County. After graduation, he joined the United States Army. After returning home, he did various jobs before relocating to Miami, Florida, and continuing to work
various jobs. Blake later moved back to Greenwood, Florida, and gained employment at Rex Lumber Company. His final working days were at Zaxby’s, where he brought joy and laughter to the many customers that passed through the doors.
Blake wore many hats, to include father, husband, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and friend. His love and laughter will live on through the many people he encountered. In addition to his parents, Blake was preceded in death by his wife, Odesta Highsmith Moore; four children, Kerry, Mark, LaRon, and Pamela; and four brothers, Charles, Jerry, Dallas, and Nathaniel.
A father and brother whose love reached far and wide, Blake leaves behind a beautiful legacy through his five children, Blake Moore, Jr., Rosalyn Moore, Kendrick Highsmith, Brandy Johnson, and Sophelia
Russ; his treasured grandchildren, Ma’kel Moore, Madison Moore, Raheem Perryman, Miracle A. Moore, Odonaven Johnson, O’riyah Johnson, Jabriel Favors, and Mark Moore, Jr.; his devoted sister, Bobbie Donaldson; caring brother, Amin Rashard (Dallas); along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends who will forever
carry his memory in their hearts.
Mr. Blake was a very nice man. He will be missed
