DENNIS LEON CRAWFORD was born on July 2, 1954, in Marianna, Florida, to Willie Crawford, Sr. and the late Inez Pete Crawford. On March 5, 2026, Dennis peacefully gained his wings to be with the Lord. He leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, compassion, and unwavering faith. Dennis accepted Christ at an early age and became a devoted member of Greenwood Chapel AME Church, where he served faithfully until his health declined. He graduated from Greenwood High School (Class of 1972) and attended Chipola Jr. College. Dennis enlisted in the military, where he proudly served his country and received many honors and awards. Among them were the Army Service Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Reserve Components Overseas Training Ribbon, Sharpshooter Badge (Rifle), and participation in Operation Desert Stormโone of his proudest moments. He was also a member of the 144th Transportation Company of Marianna, Florida. Dennis was blessed to retire after 24 years of service.

Dennis leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife, Louise Crawford; two daughters, Tara Crawford of Atlanta, GA, and Gwen Rosemann (Blake) of Panama City, FL; two sons, Nakita Crawford (Diveda) of New Market, MD, and Neville Mack (Taliah) of Woodruff, SC; one daughter, Makesha Griffin (Reverend Eric) of Tallahassee, FL; two sons, Christopher Gray of Jacob City, FL, and Kerrence Gray of Tampa, FL; his father, Willie Crawford, Sr. (Carrie) of Greenwood, FL; two sisters, Betty Crawford of Greenwood, FL, and Annette Olds (Edison) of Campbellton, FL; one brother, Willie Crawford, Jr. (Anita) of Greenwood, FL; three aunts, Mattie Harris of Dothan, AL, Amie Clark (Bobby) of Campbellton, FL, and Bobbie Barnes of Greenwood, FL; one uncle, Julius Baker (Lillie) of Greenwood, FL; and one brother-in-law, Charles Mitchell (Michelle) of Detroit, MI. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren: Alexandria Crawford, Dominique Lavender (Josh), Kailen Crawford (Florencia), NaJaida Crawford, Crisjon Crawford, Isaiah Watkins, TaKari and Tashard Johnson, Niah, Keshaun, Jalen, Laliah, and Chase Mack, Deshaun Gray, Collin Griffin, Christian Rosemann, and Jordan Rosemann; nine great-grandchildren, Robert (Robbie), Chance, Ermias, Eryss, and Jrue. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives, and dear friends.
