Mr. Michael D. Gruver, Sr. of Marianna, FL entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 30, 2025, in Flowers Hospital.
He was a native of Jackson County Florida born May 15, 1962 to the late John Dean Gruver and Shirley Fay Carmichael. Mike as he was affectionately known by his family and friends was employed as the general manager of Captains D's for more than 30 years where he was loved by his staff and so many of his valued customers.
He was an avid fisherman and he loved his family dearly. He was especially happy when he was hanging out with his son daughter in law and his adorable granddaughter.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death of his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Left to cherish his memories is his loving family to include, two sons, Micheal Dean Gruver, Jr. of North Carolina, and Logan Hunter Gruver (Tiffany) of Marianna, FL, and three grandchildren, Araleigha Kamari Lynn Gruver and Gabriel Jozsua Liam Gruver both of California, and Sophie Johnston of Marianna, FL. He is also survived by the mother of his sons, RitaKay Daniels of Marianna, FL.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
Anyone desiring to attend Mike's memorial service needs to message me at 850-272-4563. I have a lot going on and will not get the chance to go through and message everyone myself.
The services will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 2 - 5 pm. The address for the service will be sent in a message to you once you make your desire to attend known. So sorry to hear of this my prayers are with you all Mike was a friend and I guess you can say we were kin my stepfather was his mothers first cousin we went to school together Mike was a good guy and he knows I loved his cheese grits . RIP My friend my cuz you will be missed

Well Boss, me and you has had a many of talks and a many of laughs 😂 😄 you up their in the big times now. fishing, Arrowhead hunting, and hopefully having a good ol time. All the German Chocolate Cake you can eat now. Without having too worry. All the fish u can catch and the most beautiful scenery.
