Obituary For Mr. Michael Eugene Allen, Sr.

Michael Allen Sr. of Cottondale, Florida, transitioned from life to eternal rest on Saturday, June 4th at home. He was 67 years of age.

Michael was a native of Jackson County where he attended and graduated from the public school system.

He leaves treasured memories with his wife, Stacey Allen of Cottondale, Florida; five children, James Allen, Leila Allen Byrd, Michael Allen, Jr., Emma Allen and Eric Allen; four grandchildren; his mother, Emma Tillman of Marianna, Florida; five brothers, Willie Jones of Boca Raton, Florida, Robert Earl Humphrey (Gloria) of Dothan, Alabama, Kenneth Humphrey (Anita) of Smith Station, Alabama,, Wallace Wilbon od Panama City, Florida and Jeffrey Hubbert of Columbia, South Carolina; five sisters, Peggy J. Coughley (Herman) of Columbus, Georgia, Sandra Allen of Panama City, Florida, Lisa Tanner of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Marshelia Tillman of Columbia, South Carolina and Bevelon Bryant of Jennings, Louisiana; five aunts, Jeanette Daniels (Rozell) of Harvest, Alabama, Louvina Cotton (Edward) of Marianna, Florida, Louise Pickett (Joe) of Campbellton, Florida and Claddie Gilbert (Edward) of Malone, Florida; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

A public viewing will be held on Friday, June 10th from 3-6p.m. at Peoples Funeral Home Chapel.

A Homegoing Celebration will be held Saturday, June 11th at 10a.m. at St. John Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Alonzo Wilburn, Reverend Carlton Cotton, Elder Anthony Kenner and Reverend Arlester McCalister officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
