Obituary For Mr. Napoleon Byrd, Jr.

NAPOLEON BYRD, JR., affectionately known as “Nap,” was born on November 15, 1949, in Sanford, Florida, to the late Napoleon Byrd, Sr.

He was lovingly raised by his grandmother, the late Jessie Byrd, who played a significant role in shaping his life. On Thursday, March 19, 2026, Napoleon peacefully entered into eternal rest in Blountstown, Florida.

Napoleon received his education in the public schools of Blountstown and attended May Haw High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, including service during the Vietnam War.

His strength, resilience, and dedication were evident in all that he did. Napoleon will be remembered for the memories he created and the love he shared with those around him.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted sister, Thelma Batson of Blountstown, Florida; along with a host of cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever hold him in their hearts.

Though he is no longer with us, his legacy of love and quiet strength will live on in all who knew him.
