To the Cooper and McKinney Family
Come to Me," the Lord whispered to my weary spirit. "Come to Me and I will give you rest." Matt. 11:28
Our hearts are saddened by the loss of Evelyn Cooper McKinney, a long-time resident of Jackson County, a member of the Jackson County Training School (JCTS) alumni and JCTS reunion.
Our heartfelted condolences and prayers go out to the family. May God continually dwell with the family, giving peace and strength that transcends all understanding. May your faith in God, the love of family, and caring friends comfort you during this difficult time.
The Spires' and the Cooper family attended JCTS together, and Evelyn and I were classmates. At the last reunion, Evelyn and I were the only ones their to represent the Class of 1961. We took great photos together. When I visit her home, Mrs. Sally was busy cooking dinner and putting food on the table that smelled so good! Evelyn will be missed, especially at the next school reunion.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
