Margaret passed away peacefully at her son’s house in Cottondale surrounded by her family.
She was born in Bonifay, Florida, Holmes County to the late Cull Young Register and Eldoria Peterson Register.
She married Franklin David Braxton and moved to Jacksonville, Florida where she and David had two sons, Joel Stephen and Daniel Columbus.
The family moved to Cottondale ad she perused a career in nursing. She worked as Dr. Saunders nurse in Graceville and was later employed by Jackson Hospital followed by Life Management.
She was baptized March 15, 1970, as one of Jehovah’s Witness.
David was the love of her life the two of them spent many days fishing, camping, and traveling. She also enjoyed her flowers and gardening.
She enjoyed dressing to the nines as she would say. She had a special hat for each outfit to match. She loved to present herself as a independent and confident diva at heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cull Young Register and Eldoria Peterson Register, Her loving husband David Franklin Braxton, and her son Danel Columbus Braxton, and two sister Patty Register and Eunice Register.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories: one son Joel Stephen Braxton (Donna), one granddaughter Stephanine Ann Braxton Songer (Milton); one special friend and bonus son Gary Dickens; one special sister-in-law and friend Juanita; five brothers, Malrie Register (Jean), Larry Cull Register, Stafford Marlin Register (Reggie), Ludd Chester Register (Juanita), Joseph Wallace Register (Karen); two sisters, Faye Register Sconiers, and Vicky Lynn Register Rodino and a host of nieces and nephews.
