Brandi Nicole Purvis, age 35, of Pine Mountain, Georgia, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Her passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who knew her.
Born on September 5, 1989, in Marianna, Florida, Brandi was the beloved daughter of Angela Gilmore and James Douglas.
A proud graduate of Cottondale High School, Class of 2008, Brandi worked for Winn-Dixie and pursued higher education before her health began to decline. Despite the challenges she faced, Brandi’s warmth, kindness, and bright spirit will not be forgotten.
Brandi’s love for life was evident in her many passions. She had a deep affection for the beach and loved to take long rides on dirt roads, where she could embrace the peace and beauty of nature. Above all, Brandi’s greatest joy was her daughter, Ember Jarvis. Ember was the light of her life, and Brandi treasured every moment spent with her, always striving to nurture, protect, and guide her.
Brandi was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Dorothy Douglas and Linda Osborne, as well as her sister, Candi Douglas. Though they are no longer physically with her, their love and faith continue to surround her in the arms of Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her daughter, Ember Jarvis; her mother, Angela Gilmore of Georgetown, GA; her father, James Douglas of Alford, FL; her brother, Sean Douglas, and nephew Lane Douglas, both of Cambridge, OH; and a host of extended family and friends who were blessed to know her.
As we say goodbye to Brandi, we take comfort in knowing she is now in the loving arms of her Savior, Jesus Christ, where there is no more pain or suffering. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her, and her legacy of kindness, compassion, and love will never be forgotten.
In her memory, we trust in the hope of eternal life, where we will one day be reunited with her in God’s Kingdom.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, February 22nd at 11am at the Alford Assembly of God Church where James E. Kelly, Jr. is Pastor and Bill Mayo is officiating. All arrangements have been entrusted to the caring staff of licensed professionals at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
