Obituary For Ms. Ethel Stephenson

Ms. Ethel Stephenson of Marianna, Florida, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, November 17th at Northwest Florida Community Hospital at the age of 53.

She was educated in the public schools of Jackson County as was a graduate of Marianna High School Class of 1990. She was of the Methodist faith and a member of Springfield African Methodist Episcopal Church. She was a former employee of Dozier School for Boys and was employed with Sunland Center and Dudley Care.

Ethel leaves treasured memories with her son, E’Ryan Taykor of Marianna, Florida; brother, James Stephenson of Marianna, Florida; grandson, E’Ryn Taylor of Marianna, Florida; aunts, Carline Dawson of Detroit, Michigan, Kathereina Beechum of Dothan, Alabama, Amie Lee, Jewelene Thomas, Katherine Bell, Eldory Stephens all of Jacob City, Florida and Lenora Stephens of Chipley, Florida; uncle, James Earl Stephens of Dothan, Alabama; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.

A public viewing will be Friday, November 29th at Peoples Funeral Home Chapel from 3 to 6 pm

A Homegoing Celebration will be Saturday, November 30th at 1:00pm at Springfield AME Church where Reverend Hollis McClendon is pastor and Reverend Obidiah White, Evangelist Gina Tranquille, Evangelist Barbara Franklin and Pastor Gladys Inman officiating.

The body will lie in state at the church from 12:00 noon until funeral time at 1:00 p.m.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
