Lakesha C. Foxx was born on December 16, 1983, to loving parents Johnnie Batts and Kenneth (Donia)
Foxx in Miami, Florida. She lived life exactly the way she wanted: loud, funny, bold, fancy, and full of
love.
Shortly after the family moved to Marianna, Florida, where she was raised. Lakesha attended and
graduated from Marianna High School in 2002. She later studied nursing at Panhandle Technical College
and graduated as an LPN in 2004. But her ambition for success didn’t stop there, as she continued her
education at Gulf Coast College in nursing. Lakesha also was an avid member and attended St. Luke
Missionary Baptist Church.
Lakesha was truly one of a kind. She had a personality that filled every room, a laugh you could never
forget, and a presence that demanded attention in the best way. She was beautifully crazy, unapologetically
herself, and always made sure she looked good doing it. Fancy was not just her style — it was her lifestyle.
Kesha had a love for photography, so much so that she founded Foxxylei Photography, LLC, in honor of
her dear late friend, Leilani.
Nothing mattered more to her than family, her children, friends, love, and capturing memories. She
loved deeply, protected fiercely, and showed up loudly for the people she cared about. If you were loved by Lakesha, you knew it without question.
Lakesha C. Foxx is welcomed in heavenly glory by her maternal grandparents, Leroy and Agnes Batts;
paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Laura Foxx; uncle, Michael Foxx; aunties, Gwenada Foxx, Patrice
Foxx, and Wanda Beacham; best friend, Leilani; and a host of other late relatives.
She leaves to cherish memories by her children, Tequorian Hayes and Khylan Spires; her parents; siblings, Latoya Archie (Georgie), Patrick Pinder, Edith Pinder, Kenya Foxx-Brabham (Andre), Keith Foxx (Stacey), Michael Foxx (Lanita), and Andrew Miley; step grandmother, Ms. Elvira Foxx; two goddaughters; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other extended family, and friends—so many that they truly cannot be counted.
Though our hearts are broken, we are thankful for every memory, every laugh, every loud moment, every dance, and every lesson she gave us—especially to love hard, live free, don’t dull your shine, and always step out looking your best.
Though she may be gone from our sight, she will never be gone from our hearts. Rest loud. Rest fancy. Rest in eternal love, Lakesha.

Sending prayers and condolences to the family
My condolences to the family and her children. As I got the news about you my heart dropped and then 2 hours later I got a call from my cousin of my uncle passing as well. I'm so sorry this happened to you. You was always sweet and friendly as I can remember, it saddens me to know that you will not be able to see your youngest graduate this year but I'm sure your family will be there cheering him on. My prayers are with the family, because only God can provide a peace that surpasses all understanding!
To the sister I gained over the years, I will always remember you as the fun and beautiful spirit you were. I will miss you dearly and I will always cherish those moments we shared. I Love you always!
Shay 💕

May her memory continue to inspire and bring comfort in the days ahead.
Johnny my sincerest condolences on the loss of your daughter. May she RIP!!
I will always remember the toughest time in life during my divorce with her brother (Patrick pinder) Kesha would sit on the phone hours with me listening to me cry and battle with the issue because she understood how hurt I was. She always made me laugh no matter how sad or bad the situation was. Meanwhile we worked together many places but particular the courtyard, We would argue like cats and dogs and when outside people would intervene she would say "mind your business this is between my sister and me". I loved Kesha like the sister I never had. She always encouraged me and pushed me to become a nurse . I'm going to miss her so much and to the family thanks for sharing her with me she was so different to me and special in many ways. I will forever hold her close to my 💜 my condolences and love to the family on both sides. As she would say "girl hush you're always family koneyshia" sleep on foxxy I love you forever and I'll see you on the other side
