Ms. Lynda Joyce Speights of Cottondale, Florida, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 4th at home. She was 64 years old.
She was of the Methodist faith and a member of Henshaw Chapel AME Church.
She leaves cherished memories with her children; Taurus Braxton (Heather Dunaway) of Woodbridge, Virginia; Norris Wynn of Campbellton, Florida, Piere Wilson of Cottondale, Florida, Quantina Speights (Darrell Britt) of Panama City, Florida and Khadejah Ward of Cottondale, Florida; her mother, Eula Dell Speights of Cottondale, Florida; sisters, Demeka Hudson (Fashan), Sandra Speights, Valinda Speights (Gary Davis) all of Cottondale, Florida, Emma Peterson of Vernon, Florida and Mary Early of Marianna, Florida; brothers, Robert Earl Speights, Wilmer Speights, Frederick Speights and John Speights Jr. all of Cottondale, Florida;14 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; special friend, Darrius Pollock; like a brother, Derwin Hazelton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
A Homegoing Celebration for Lynda will be held Saturday, November 13th at 2:00p.m. at Yes Lord Deliverance Ministries in Chipley with Rev. Dr. Lenny Marshall, Rev. Lawrence Gantt,Sr., Minister Barbara White, Minister Gina Tranquille, Rev. Blanche Godwin and Bishop Marvin Henderson officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem AME Church Cemetery with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna, Florida.
