Obituary For Sister Helen Butler
Ms. Helen Butler of Jackson County the Compass Lake in the Hills community entered into eternal rest on Wednesday evening January 21, 2026, in Southeast Health with her family at her bedside.
She was a native of Jackson County and was a breeder of exotic birds. She was a loving and caring yet quiet person that dedicated her life to service unto others.
Loving memories of her well lived life will forever be with her children, Jamie Lee Cruse, Dallas Butler, and Brandon Butler, her grandchildren, Averie Plass, Austin Cruse, Reagan Cruse, and Rheya Thomas. She was also survived by her sister, Ava McKenzie and her life partner George Dodson.
A private family service will be held on February 17, 2026, with memorialization being cremation.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the caring and professional staff of Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna, FL.
