Obituary For Bernard Cecil

Mr. Bernard Cecil, 88, of Elizabethtown, died Thursday, August 22, 2024 at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Hodgenville.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, a member of St. James Catholic Church and a Kentucky Colonel.

He was preceded in death by his wife Cleo; his parents Juanita and Mose T. Cecil, Sr.; two brothers, Reginald Cecil and Billie Frank Buckner.

He is survived by two sons, Berneil Cecil of Elizabethtown, KY and Jeffery Handley of Louisville, KY; four grandchildren, Elijah Cecil, Xavien Cecil, Gabriella Cecil and Kaisyn Cecil all of Elizabethtown; two brothers, Gary (Rosie) Cecil of Conyers, Georgia and Mose T. (Linda) Cecil, Jr. of Elizabethtown; two sisters, Anita Bradley of Lexington, KY and Jackie Woods of Hodgenville, Ky.

The funeral will be held at 12 noon, Thursday, August 29, 2024 at Percell and Sons Funeral Home. Visitation after 10:00 a.m. Thursday. Burial will follow in the KY Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY with full military rites.
