Charles Farrell, III was born February 9, 1954 to the late Margie and Charles Farrell,II. He departed this life on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at his residence in Louisville, KY.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vanessa; a daughter Melissa; two sons Maximillian and Kenric Farrell; a sister, Evat Farrell; a brother, Anthony Farrell.
He was a U.S.Army veteran, a KY Colonel, a member of the 1972 Caverna High School state championship baseball team. He coached basketball in the Dirt Bowl and was a three time AAU state champion coach. He was a retired 46 year employee of Zeochem.
He is survived by three daughters, Michelle Farrell, Mia Farrell and Monica Farrell; a chosen son, Derrick Hazel; nine grandchildren, Vincent Farrell, Selena Cantrell-Farrell, Devond Cantrell-Farrell, Brennen Jones, Garland Webb, III, Gregory (Hope) Webb, Geyhona Webb, G'Vaughn Webb and Iyanna Farrell; four great grandchildren, Aubrey Webb, Alias Webb, Kingston Cantrell-Farrell and Xiya Webb; four brothers, Patrick Farrell, Aaron (Leslie) Farrell, Sidney Farrell and Madrid (Patricia) Farrell; three sisters, Cherlyn (Sonny) Greeno, Carmen Farrell and Donnita Farrell; a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 29, 2025 at Percell & Sons Funeral Home with Dr. Michael Rice, officiating. Burial will follow in the Horse Cave Cemetery.
Visitation after 6:00 p.m. Wednesday at Percell & Sons Funeral Home.
I graduated with Charles and I know he will be missed. Prayers for the loved ones left behind.
