Mr. Ernest Ford, 83 of Elizabethtown passed away on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Baptist Health Hardin.
Mr. Ford was born on February 2, 1941, in Georgetown, South Carolina to the late Harrison and Annie Fanny Ford.
Deacon Ford was a member of New Life Tabernacle Church of God in Christ. He was a former member of Zion Pentecostal Church where he served as Deacon, Prayer Meeting Leader and Primary Sunday School Teacher along with other ministries within the church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Audrey Ford.
He leaves to cherish his memory, two sons, Will (Jeanine) Ford, Sr. of Elizabethtown, Earnest C. Ford of Lakewood, Washington; a daughter, Pauline E. Ford of Acworth, GA; a sister, Annie Nora Ford of Conway, South Carolina; four grandchildren, Marcus Williams, Joselyn Frazier, Will A. Ford, Jr. and Audrey V. Ford; two great-grandchildren, Nveeah Williams and Zoe Williams; his previous wife Frances Burton also survives; along with many friends.
Services for Deacon Ford will be at 1:00 P. M. Saturday, October 12, 2024, at Percell and Sons Funeral Home, Elizabethtown with Elder Cedric Jones officiating. Visitation after 11:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
