Mr. Harry Gwen Montgomery, 68, of Elizabethtown, died Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Signature Sunrise Manor, Hodgenville.
He was the son of the late Regina and Sam Montgomery. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Carlos Beamon; two brothers, Sammy Montgomery and James β Tom Dooleyβ Montgomery.
Mr. Montgomery loved the Lord, his family and the Louisville Cardinals.
He is survived by three brothers, David Montgomery, Melvin (Connie) Montgomery and Jeff (Emma) Montgomery; three sisters, Phyllis (Rev. David) Montgomery-Mitchell, Paula Montgomery and Elder Bonita Montgomery-Robinson; three step-daughters, Shanise Gause, Kayla Gause and Candice Gause; five step-grandchildren, Ka'Marion Gause, Karter Gause, Da'Ron Starling, Da'Mon Starling and Da'Shon Starling; his former wife Stephanie Gause; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2024 at Percell & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. John C. Lee, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Elizabethtown City Cemetery.
Visitation after 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
