Obituary For John Henry Clay
John Henry Clay, 78, of Elizabethtown, died Sunday, February 11, 2024, at Baptist Health East in Louisville.
He was born October 3, 1945 to the late Dolly and Lois Moss Clay.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Clay, Clayton Clay and Henry Clay.
John loved to play chess and fish along with a passion for model train sets.
He is survived by a daughter, Shaneatha (Tyrum) Simms; three sons, Lorenzo Clay, Wan Clay and Sean Clay; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; a sister Lottie Mae Clay of, Flovilla, Georgia.
The funeral is at 1:00p.m. Wednesday at Percell & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Elizabethtown City Cemetery.
Visitation from 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
