Obituary For John (Pete) Edward Largen, Jr
John Edward Largen, Jr, 79 of Elizabethtown, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 30 at his residence.
Mr. Largen retired from Hardin County Road Department after 22 years of service. He served as a greeter for Sam's Club in Elizabethtown. He was a member of Victory Fellowship Church in Glendale.
John is preceded in death by his parents John Largen Sr., Stella Marie Largen; two sons, Wayne Jenkins and Arthur Lee Jenkins; a sister Carol Marie Ashcraft, .
He leaves cherished memories his wife of 46 years, Myrtle Largen; four daughters Kathy (Doug) McCubbins of Shepherdsville, Jackie (Daniel) Foushee of Winchester, Beverly( Carlos) Grimes of Elizabethtown, Kimberly (Steven) Cundiff of Elizabethtown; a son, Randy Joe Jenkins; 18 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Ann Grizzle of Elizabethtown, Betty Jean (William) Wallace of Colespring; along with a host of relatives and friends.
Services for Mr. Largen will be 1:00 PM Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Victory Life Fellowship in Glendale, KY with Pastor Randy Austin, officiating. Burial to follow in Brackett Cemetery.
Visitation after 11:00 AM until time of service at the church.

We were so saddened to hear of Bro Pete's passing. He loved WJCR Radio and we loved him. I always looked forward to seeing him at Sam's Club. He will be greatly missed.
