Obituary For Joseph Wayne Cleaver

Mr. Joseph Wayne Cleaver, 71, died Thursday, March 26, 2026 at Baptist Health Hardin.

He was a member of Guston Missionary Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kamecia Cleaver; parents James Cleaver, Sr. and Essie Waymer; a brother, Ernest Cleaver; two sisters, Christine Ownes and Flora Mae Christian.

He is survived by a son Joseph Cleaver; four grandchildren; two brothers Russell (JoAnn) Cleaver and William (Rose Ann); two sisters, Mary Rowe and Jeannette Cleaver; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.

The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Percell & Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Cleaver, Sr. officiating. Visitation after 12:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Joe! This one hurts,you watched us grow from babies to adults, we will miss everything about you,we always talked about sloppy joes, and I stayed asking you to cook my fish. Don't worry about Mother as you call her or your pumpkin pudd. Am make sure Barbara and victory stay strong, the memories will not fade, now your fishing in heaven Joe!! We love you uncle Joe!
