Obituary For Rev. Ray Stewart, Jr.
Rev. Ray Stewart, Jr., 84, of Bonnieville, KY died on November 25, 2020 at TJ Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow, KY.
Rev. Stewart was a native of Hart County, Kentucky and the son of the late Sam and Ida Mae Harris. He was the Pastor of Queens Chapel Baptist Church and former Pastor of New Zion Baptist Church (Adair County) and Pleasant Union Baptist Church. He retired from civil service after 30 years with the U. S. Government.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two wives, Geneva Stewart and Judy Stewart; two children, Greg Barbour, Barbara Massey and one granddaughter, Rhonda Barbour.
Survivors include one grandson/stepson, Michael Dixon of Glasgow, KY; granddaughters Gail Barbour Ingram (Roy) of Columbia, KY, Jennifer Greer of Louisville, KY and Tashia Johnson of Elizabethtown, KY along with a host of cousins and friends.
Funeral service will be 11:00 am CST, December 1, 2020 at Owens Chapel Baptist Church in Cave City.
Visitation will be from 5:00 - 7:00 pm CST on November 30, 2020 also at Owens Chapel Baptist Church.
Hayes Brothers Funeral Home of Glasgow, KY is in charge of arrangements. Services will be live streamed from the Hayes Brothers, Glasgow facebook page.
