Mrs. Sandra H. Barker, 56, of Radcliff, KY departed her earthly life at 12:30am on April 7, 2020 at Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.
Mrs. Barker was a native of Ferriday, LA and the daughter of the late George Long and Geraldine Harris. She gave her life to Christ and was baptized at the age of 13, at True Vine Baptist Church, New Orleans, LA. She later joined Second True Love Baptist Church, New Orleans, LA. It was there she sang in the children's choir. Sandra loved the Lord and she loved church. As she grew older she later joined Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, Marrero, LA where she sang in the Mass Choir and on the Praise Team. Although she had several afflictions with her health, she never complained about her fight. She always said she was doing good in spite of her pain and she thanked God for just one more day. She ran her race to the finish line. "I believe she won the grand prize and is now safe in the Masters arms."
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister Shawadalynn Harris; one brother, Charlie Tyler.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard Simons of New Orleans, LA; two daughters, Minister Takeita Brown(Derek) of Honolulu, HI; Courtney Barker of Radicliff; seven sisters, Ruth Reed, Ora Peters(Albert), Geraldine Zemcik, Wanda August, Isabella Richards(Guillermo), Armenta Jackson, and Tanya Williams; seven brothers, Leon Henderson, Daniel Henderson, Victor Henderson, Maverick Henderson(Rhonda), David Hayes, Dwight Harris, Anthony Harris; six grandchildren, Terrell Pridgen, Jordyn Pridgen, Destiny Smith, Savannah Brown, Jakhi Rusher, Saniya Rivers, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Love you family in Christ, Danielle Hasan
Rest in peace my big sister. I'm so proud of you and jealous at the same time because God helped you determine when you wanted to leave this side with family all around you. That was powerful. So I thank God for letting me borrow you for a little while. I love you till we see each other again.
Rev. Armenta Jackson (sister)
I loved Ms. Sandra so much. I got to see her smiling face every Sunday until I left for college in 95. Hurricane Katrina uprooted a lot of people from the Westbank. I was glad to reacquaint with her on Facebook. We really k.i.t. She always made me laugh and smile. I got to see her earlier this year at our home church. She welcomed me with opened arms. It was a blessing to me that her daughters shared her home going service with her family and friends. She looked beautiful like her firecracker self. She was a great fashionista too. I'll always love you TT Sandra!
The last conversation we had just like many we said we love each other, i will always cherish that! May God comfort and keep you ALL ! I'm here always please do not hesitate to call we are forever family ! Tee Robin
