Tyreaun Lee Watkins, 19 was the son of Wanda Henderson-Harper and Arvetta Donaldson-Henderson (Leavy). Born In Phoenix, Arizona on May 4, 2007 to BenjaminJ. Watkins Sr and Tiffany Watts.
Tyreaun, affectionately known as Ty or Tyree was a compassionate and loving young man with a charm and wit to win the love of those he touched.
On September 20, 2016, family and friends gathered to celebrate Ty’s “Gotcha Day,” the day he was lovingly adopted by his great‑aunt Wanda and Arvetta.
Surrounded by a strong military family, Ty and his Moms made their home in Brandenburg, Kentucky, where he later earned his High School Diploma from the Meade County School System.
Tyreaun’s family extended far beyond his parents. Nurtured and mentored by the village of St. Stephens and a loving community, he grew into an active youth usher and part God’s Creation/ TNG Youth choir who enjoyed football, basketball, and his Xbox games. Embraced by his church family, Ty chose to be baptized and publicly committed his faith in God on February 19, 2017. His special bond with his sister, Judahcia, is eternal and everlasting.
Ty blossomed wherever he went, embracing each new chapter of his life with curiosity and joy. Vivacious, encouraging, and naturally diplomatic, Ty lived with a true zest for life.
Tyreaun was called to rest on July 20, 2026, with his family by his bedside. He will gather with his ancestors Emma and George Henderson, Paul and Frederica Lawrence (Skipper) and Mark Henderson, Fennell and Nova Leavy and Troy Scott. His
transition bestowed the gift of life to several others through the Donate Life Indiana Network.
A dutiful son,Tyreaun leaves a loving legacy for his parents, Wanda and Arvetta Henderson, his father Benjamin J. Watkins Sr and mother Tiffany Watts. Paternal grandparents Andrea and Lester Whigum, Autry C. Watkins III, Diane Leavy. Maternal grandfather Dwaine Watts. Siblings: Benjamin Jr., Branden and Judahcia Watkins,
DeJuan Graham, Russell Owens Jr, Charnelle, Gregory and Elijawha Donalson. great-
great aunts Phyllis Inman, Pinky Scott-Ramsey; uncles and aunts Autry C. Watkins IV (Deanya), Anita L. “Pookie” Evans, Tahj (Valencia), Rehynna, Erica, Randle, Triston, Monay, Mozay Whigum and Newton and Nelon Junior III McMillian. He had great
affection for his nieces and nephews Seriah Ferguson, Kyce Pace, Sy’mire, and MiChel’lei Whigum. God‑parents Ronald and Andria Stephens, along with a host of cousins and friends, cherished Ty deeply. He touched countless lives throughout his
journey, embracing family, friends, and loved ones alike. Tyreaun lived his life full of Joy!
The funeral will be held at 12 noon Saturday, August 1, 2026 at St. Stephens Baptist Church Hardin County, Radcliff.
Visitation after 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church.

It was a true honor to participate with him at his baptism, to serve as his football coach, and to guide him as a mentor. Ty was an extraordinary, talented, and remarkable young man whose spirit, drive, and heart touched everyone around him. Being a part of his journey is something I will cherish for the rest of my life. Please know that you do not have to walk through this grief alone.
