Obituary For Andre Wynn Richmond

ANDRE WYNN RICHMOND, son of the late Rev. Bobby James Richmond, Sr. and Clemontene Caddell, was born on February 21, 1960, in Greensboro, NC. He departed this life at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Andre was a proud graduate of Walter Hines Page High School. Known for his gentle and warm-hearted nature, he cherished his family and friends deeply. He was always ready to share a laugh, often ending his text messages with a trademark “Ha, Ha!”

Andre's generosity was truly remarkable. He gave freely and shared whatever he had with others. Those who knew him valued his willingness to help in any situation. He was a steadfast friend, offering support and comfort in times of need.

His devotion to his family was unwavering. Andre spent his early years living in the East White Oak Community with his grandparents, remaining there until he completed high school. His career with Time Warner Cable took him to San Francisco, where he worked as a lineman. During his time there, he met and married Mildred Evans, and they made their home in San Francisco for several years. Eventually, Andre returned to Greensboro and joined his brother, Bobby Jr., in the flooring and tile business.

After the loss of his brother, Andre chose a new path, earning his CDL license and becoming a long- distance truck driver. Despite facing a disability resulting from an ankle injury in a motorcycle accident, he remained determined to learn new skills and hobbies, adapting to every challenge. His resilience inspired those around him. Andre’s strong faith in God was a guiding force throughout his life. He never doubted God's love and found comfort in his faith, especially during times of illness and hardship.

Andre is survived by his four daughters: Kareema Richmond; Atara (Keith) Green and their children
Casanova, Alonnah, Dash, and Cali; Aiesha (Jeremy) Harrison and their children Jasmine, Journee, and
Jeremy Jr.; and Lakisha Richmond, all of San Francisco; as well as one son, Andre W. (Sheree) Richmond, Jr., and their children Sanaa, Monroe, and Micah. He is also survived by his sister, The Rev. Brenda Bynum of Salisbury, and three aunts: Marthella Jones, Janice Richmond, and Gail Richmond, all of Greensboro.
Andre leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends who mourn his passing. The family extends special gratitude to Aunt "Marty" and his devoted friend and confidant, Lucy Harris, and many
of his other close friends who cared for Andre and supported him throughout his illness.

Andre will be remembered for his kindness, infectious laughter, generosity, positivity, unwavering faith, and deep love for his family and friends. His joyful spirit touched everyone who knew him. And, of course,
he will always be remembered for his love to laugh...Ha! Ha!

A Loving Tribute will be held at New Hope Community Fellowship located at 10445 N. Main Street, Archdale, NC on March 21. The Gathering will begin at 10:30am followed by The Tribute at 11:00am. The Service will be live streamed on the following YouTube link:
