Mr. Bill Chapman was born on January 1, 1951, in Darlington S.C. to the late Mr. and Mrs. Shannon Chapman Sr. He was preceded in death by his brothers. Aaron, CB, Jesse Lee, Earnest, McKenzie, Norman, Shannon, and Charlie Chapman. Mr. Chapman made his heavenly transition on December 15, 2023, at 8:40 pm at Glenn Haven Nursing Home.
Bill Chapman was affectionately known as The B.C. He attended and graduated from James Benson Dudley High School. He worked as a brick mason alongside his Uncle Hubert Chapman. He always had a smile on his face and enjoyed laughing, fishing, gardening and ALWAYS being the life of the party. Mr. Chapman also enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family. He was truly loved and enjoyed by all who knew him. Leaves behind his son Bill Alexander (Jr.) and fiancΓ© Zora Harris, his love Frances Alexander, and sisters Hattie Rose and Willie James Carter, Sarah Brady, and Kathleen Chapman. Special niece Danielle Chapman amongst a host of other nieces and nephews. The B.C. will truly be missed by all and will live on in our hearts until we meet again in eternity.
A service to honor him will be held on December 27, 2023, at Perry J. Brown Funeral Home in the Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel,909 East Market Street, Greensboro, NC 27401, at 2:30pm. Visitation at 2pm.
Burial will follow at Piedmont Memorial Cemetery, McConnell Road, Greensboro, NC
