Blanche Marcell Tate Dudley, 75, of Reidsville, NC, left this world for internal rest with the same grace and dignity in which she lived.
She was born to the late William B. Tate, Jr. and Eunice Williams Tate in Greensboro, NC, on June 6, 1949. Blanche was the youngest of five siblings. From an early age, Blanche was passionate about singing, often filling her home with her warm soulful voice.
Blanche attended James B. Dudley High School graduating Class of 1967, where she was a National Honor Student, a Majorette, sang in the Dudley Choir and was on the track team. Following high school, she enlisted in the United States Navy, where she was an E-4, Dental Technician 3 for 4 years of service. Dudley, and they were wed on March 9, 1975. Together, they built a loving home and welcomed their son, Nathan, in 1978 and their daughter Monica, in 1984. She later joined the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) Chapter 20.
Blanche was a woman of many talents and passions. She was also a skilled DIY crafter, always working on home projects and creating thoughtful, handmade gifts for loved ones. She loved Christmas. Above all, she was an empathetic listener and a devoted mother, known for her unwavering love for her children, in which she showed support, kindness, and wisdom. Her children and those around her were blessed by her patience, love, and gentle guidance.
She will be funeralized on Tuesday, February 25th, at Genesis Baptist Church, 2812 East Bessemer Avenue. Visitation at 12:00, and service will begin at 12:30 pm.
