Deacon Ralph Curtis Blackwell, 77, of Gibsonville, died Friday, March 24, 2023. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 1pm at Unity Baptist Church, in McLeansville. Visitation 12:30pm The internment will be held at Union Grove Congregational Church cemetery, in McLeansville. Deacon Ralph is survived by two daughters, Tomeika and Shanai Blackwell; his granddaughter, Laci Blackwell; and sister, Bettye B. Martin.
Deacon Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia F. Blackwell; father and mother, Andrew and Gussie Blackwell; and his two sisters, Sallie Smith and Janice Brown.
Deacon Ralph had unwavering and complete devotion to his family, and was known for his rock- solid, unshakable faith in the Lord. He had a welcoming personality beyond measure and displayed kindness, honesty, and compassion in every endeavor he pursued.
