Deacon Willie Capers Jr. ascended on May 6, 2021.
He is survived by his wife Esther Capers Daughters: Evie, Kim and Ashley Son: William. Grandson: Corey Sisters: Blondell, Cassie, Bertha (Leroy) Sally (Alfonza) Brother: Hugene (Carolyn) Capers. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Morgan and Odessa Capers and his oldest brother Edward Reaves.
He was a hard working man, a faithful husband, a dedicated father and a follower of Christ. He loved golfing, talking and praying. Willie served in the Vietnam war and was a double black belt. He was a man of dignity, honor and faith. His presence put you at ease. He was the father many didn't have , a mentor and a true Example of stewardship. He will be greatly missed and always loved.
A public viewing will be held on Thursday, May 13, 2021 from 3:30pm-5:30pm in the Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel of Perry J. Brown Funeral Home. A funeral service honoring his life will be held on Friday, May 14, 2021 at Impact Church 4705 N Church St, Greensboro, NC 27455. The visitation will begin at 11:00AM with service following.
