Obituary For Elbert Hickman

Mr. Elbert Hickman passed away on Wednesday, December 3, 2025.

Mr. Elbert Hickman, born March 7, 1936, in Surry County, North Carolina, departed this life on December 3, 2025. He was a dedicated truck driver throughout his working years and was known for his love of riding motorcycles. Elbert leaves to cherish his memory his son, Victor Elbert Hickman (Sutonia) of Burlington, North Carolina; his daughters, Carmela McCorkle and Alesia McCorkle of Greensboro, North Carolina; and his sister, Shirley Wilson of Long Beach, California. He also leaves behind devoted caregivers, his loving niece Sarah (Harold) Fuller and nephew Terry (Gladys) Enoch, both of Greensboro. A host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends will forever treasure his life and legacy.

A public viewing will be held from 11:30 a.m. - 4:00p.m. in the Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel at Perry J. Brown Funeral Home, 909 E. Market Street, Greensboro, NC on Monday,December 8, 2025.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at Raleighs Crossroads United Methodist Church Cemetery, 715 Guilford College Rd, Greensboro, NC 27409.

Sending condolences to the Hickman family. Mr. Elbert will be truly missed. He was a statue in the Collins Grove Community were he could always be seen on the corner of Lewiston &Fleming rd, waving or at the store across the street. I will always remember him on his motorcycle waving driving through the neighborhood. Rest in peace
