James worked as an Assistant Boys Basketball Coach at Fayetteville State University. Complete Funeral arrangements are still pending. A celebration of his life service will be held in Washington, DC.
We learned today (3/11/2024) of James' passing last June during a visit to Flow Audi in Greensboro. My wife and I had the good fortune of buying our first Audi from James about seven years ago and it was an unforgettable experience working with such a kind, thoughtful man. His former fellow employees with Flow Audi still speak so fondly and highly of James. We have such fond memories of our all too brief encounter with James. May he rest in peace. Judy and Craig
To the family of our beloved Coach Simmons, our hearts are heavy and you will be in our prayers. He is the reason our daughter, Jordyn Smith went to Towson and was so successful. We loved him and never forgot how he cared for her when she was sick and had an injury during her basketball season. James was a bright spirit that can't be forgotten. Dexter, Tammy and Jordyn Smith
My gentle giant, words cannot express my broken heart yet I know you're better now and with our Lord and Savior. I know your pain is no more and your memory in my heart is forever. I am thankful that you chose me to be by your side every step of this journey. I love you!! Lora "Judgie" "CeCe" Cubbage
Our staff will continue to keep your family in our prayers. We thank you for allowing us to serve your family.
