George Bracey Jr. Gumberry High School Class of '64.
My deepest, heartfelt sympathy and condolences to James Pernell's family. We had been schoolmates/friends since the 6th grade. After graduating from Gumberry High School in 1964, he matriculated at NC A&T State University and I did the same at Howard University. Heaven has welcomed its newest Angel...R.I.H my friend!
Brother James Deloatch was one of our family's Deacons at Providence Baptist Church. He was a good listener, kind, and always willing to help. Many times he was at Providence after our missionary meeting on Monday nights to be sure that all of us were safe. During these last few months when we couldn't attend church, it was a pleasure to see him on Zoom for Sunday School class. He will be missed. We express our love, sympathy, and prayers for Sister Fannie Bea and family. Sam & Shirley Williams
