Joel Banks, beloved son of the late Howard and Nannie Lee Banks, departed this earthly life on Thursday, May 8, 2025.
Joel was a devoted father to two daughters whom he loved deeply. He had a heart full of kindness and a generous spirit, cherishing his family and friends. A true blessing to everyone he encountered, Joel touched many lives with his warmth, compassion, and unwavering love.
He was a proud graduate of Ben L. Smith High School and served his country honorably in the United States Army. Joel was preceded in death by his parents.
He leaves to cherish his memory two daughters: Jolnae Banks of High Point and Camille Banks of Greensboro; one grandson, Keovanni; four sisters: Sharon McCain (Frederick) of Greensboro, Sandra Covington of Greensboro, Alesia Banks of Durham, and Kathy Gladden of Greensboro; four brothers: Anthony Banks of Brown Summit, Rodner Banks of Fayetteville, Rayshawn Banks of Atlanta, Georgia, and Palmer Banks of Greensboro; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and cherished friends.
Joel’s legacy of love, service, and kindness will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 22, 2025, 1:00 pm at Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel 909 East Market Street at Perry J. Brown Funeral Home Greensboro North Carolina. Visitation 12:30pm.
