Jonathan was born March 4, 1980 in Raleigh NC to the parents of Jimmy McCullough and Peggie E. Jones. He attended Grimsley High School in Greensboro NC. He was employed by Walmart-Battleground for over 15 years as a Customer Service Manager. It was a job he loved. He was loved by many. He never met a stranger. He always came with a smile, a joke and huge laughter. Heaven has definitely gained an angel. He will most assuredly be missed by all— not only by his family, but by anyone with whom he came in contact.
Jonathan was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Julia M. Jones; uncle, Curtis E. Douglas, and aunt, Laura J. Smith.
Jonathan leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Peggie E. Jones-Dargan; father, Jimmy McCullough; one sister, Heather E. Dargan; one brother, Thomas Dargan, special aunt, Nancy J. Douglas; cousins, Joanie Douglas Chavis (Kim), Cheri E. Douglas Hughes (Darryl), Jordan Sumpter Hughes, Julia Inez Chavis, Kimberly E. Chavis, Marsha and Michael Smith; special friends, Lamarr Rucker and Victoria Sessoms. A private memorial service honoring his life will be held Tuesday September 8, 2020 at the Cassie Coote-Brown Memorial Chapel of Perry J. Brown Funeral Home.
