Obituary For Lula M. Brewer

Ms. Lula M. Brewer passed away on January 7, 2022.

Ms. Lula Mae Brewer, daughter of the late June Brewer, Sr. and Myrtle Brown Brewer, was born in Chatham County on January 4, 1924, and departed this life on January 7, 2022 at Authora Care hospice in Burlington, NC.

Lula attended Chatham County Training School in Siler City, NC, was a member of Gees Grove Methodist Church for many years. She moved to Greensboro, NC and was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church for many years, until her death. Lula worked in different occupations but worked as a CNA for 25 years in private homes wherein due to her skills and dedication to her profession she was highly requested. Lula loved to cook and was an excellent cook. Her cakes and pies were always requested at different functions.

Lula was preceded in death by her siblings: James, Merinda, Robert, Henry, Marvin, Samuel, Major, Ross, June Jr., and Clarence Brewer. Lula leaves to remember her: daughters, Rosa Hedrick (Elrece – deceased) of Plainfield, NJ, Brenda S. Lea (Richard), McLeansville, NC; four grandchildren: Rosonda Hedrick, of N. Brunswick, NJ, Sherrod Siler, Sr. (Rena), Richard Lamont Lea (Kim) of Greensboro, NC, and Crystal Lea of Las Vegas, NV; three great-grandchildren: Sherena Siler of Los Angeles, CA, Sherrod Siler, Jr., of Virginia Beach, VA, and Hayden Lea of Greensboro, NC; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A Graveside service honoring her life will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday January 13, 2022 at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
