Mrs. Maggie Ruth Jackson, passed away Friday, July 25, 2025 at her residence.
Maggie Ruth Caldwell Jackson was born April 22, 1934, to parents Maggie Caldwell and Richard Wallace, in Chester, SC. She attended Finely High School in Chester. She was in a gospel group that traveled around South Carolina, formed by Jackson's aunt, Robbie Jackson. During this time, she met Robert Lee Jackson, as he was affectionately known in South Carolina. They married in September 25, 1951. To this union, there were 7 seven children born. Maggie moved to North Carolina in 1956, to join her husband, who had come 6 months prior to work.
She worked at various jobs after coming to Greensboro. Because she loved to cook and was a people person, Maggie was employed at places such as Meyers/Jordan Marsh, Woolworths and Roses. She tried her hand at customer service for Sears & Roebuck however, later settled in as a custodian at Monticello School within the Guilford County school system and retired after 12 years.
Maggie became a member of St Mark Holiness church where she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1959. She served as church secretary and gospel choir member.
Maggie later joined Sanctuary Deliverance COTHLW under the leadership of Bishop V.D. Purcell Sr. where she was an ordained mother and food pantry administrator.
Maggie is proceeded in death by her mother, 4 sisters, 2 brothers, John Sr (husband), Johnny Jr (son), and Dorothy (daughter).
Those left to mourn her include, Children-Delois Greene, Tony Jackson, Sandra Baskerville, Steven Jackson (Patricia), and Darryl Jackson (Mary).
Maggie was boastful of her 17 grandchildren- Chiquita Greene, LaToya Covington, Tenisha Kelly (Ricky), Shantelle Breeze (Tyrone), Christopher Jackson, Ryan Jackson, Nicolas Jackson, Tomeka Harris (Ron), Jimmie Jackson (Keisha), David Jackson (Jovial), Samuel Burnett, LaKeisha Jackson, Serena Price-Hall (Errol), Stephanie Jackson, Jade Jackson, Danielle and Nikki N. The village continued with 41 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
We would like to provide a special thank you to all the nurses and doctors of Authoracare and Adoration Health. Shout out to her helpers Jasmine, Debroah and other neighbors at Rankin King Apartments, especially Diane, Josephine, Lorraine and Onnie.

Funeral service will be held Monday, August 4, 2025 11:30am Sanctuary Of Deliverance Church 1031 Summit Avenue Greensboro,North Carolina. 11am Visitation.
Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery 3600 North O'Henry Boulevard Greensboro, North Carolina.
