Mrs. Mary McWilliams passed away Thursday February 26, 2026. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 05, 2026 12:00pm at Locust Grove Baptist Church Cemetery 4707 NC HWY 150, Browns Summit, NC 27214.

Mary Jo (Richardson) McWilliams departed this earthly life when the Master called her to eternal life on February 26, 2026. Mary was born August 15, 1946 in Conway, South Carolina. She was born to the late Judge Richardson and the late Leona Richardson. She was the second child of six children.
Mary attended high school in South Carolina and met Hybart McWilliams, later married and moved to Brown Summit, North Carolina. They were married for over 30 years.
After moving to Brown Summit she made Locust Grove Baptist Church her church home. She joined the Usher Board and did her duties until her health declined.
Mary was a sweet, loving, and kind person and loved her week days soap operas and loved flowers with a passion. Church hymns were her favorite songs.
She was employed by Wal-Mart as a stocker and retired after over ten years of service.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Pat Lee Richardson, Sandra Gladden, Judge Jr., and Bernard Richardson.
Mary leaves to cherish her memories, her sweet, loving and faithful daughter, Acquanette Richardson (Howard) of McLeansville, North Carolina; one son, Tyson McWilliams of Greensboro, North Carolina; two grandsons, Howard Richardson, Jr., and Tyson McWilliams, Jr.; one great-grandson, Maverick Richardson; one brother, Mack Smith of Conway, South Carolina and other relatives and friends.
