Obituary For Michael Harvey Farrow

Mr. Michael Farrow, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2025.

Funeral service will be held Friday, May 16, 2025 1:00pm at Calvary Christian Center 369 Air Harbor Road Greensboro North Carolina. Visitation 12:30 pm.

Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery 3901 Forest Lawn Drive Greensboro North Carolina.

Michael (Mike) Harvey Farrow was born on June 18, 1961, in Washington, D.C., to Margaret Jean Farrow and the late Harvey Farrow. He peacefully transitioned into eternal rest at 11:11 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025.

Michael received his early education in the Washington, D.C. Public School System and completed his secondary education at High Point High School in Maryland. During summer breaks, he cherished time spent in Hopkins, South Carolina, with his aunts and uncles, where he developed a deep appreciation for farming. In his leisure time, he helped at his uncle’s barbershop by shining shoes. Under the guidance of his grandfather, the late James Phillips Stroy, Michael gained invaluable skills in carpentry, plumbing, and auto mechanics.

While still in high school, Michael was selected for a prestigious internship at International Business Machines (IBM). Following graduation, he underwent further training and went on to serve as a Customer Service Engineer at IBM for 13 years. In 1992, Michael relocated to Greensboro, North Carolina, where he joined a company contracted by Guilford County Schools. He eventually became the sole independent contractor for the school system. Michael later worked for B.E. Aerospace and ultimately retired as an independent contractor in April 2023.

Michael leaves behind a legacy of dedication and love. He is survived by his devoted wife of 18 years, Marcia Farrow; his children, La Shyon Harris (David), Ronald Bradley (Kadisa), Nyeisha Bradley, Darrion Farrow, and Jessica Griffin; his beloved mother, Margaret Farrow; two brothers, Richard Farrow (Brenda) and Marlon Farrow; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and a host of cherished friends.
