In Loving Memory of William Walter Boone
August 13, 1951- September 16, 2025
William Walter Boone, 74, of Climax, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2025, at Moses Cone Hospital. Born in Northampton County to his beloved parents, Arthur and Sydney Boone, William was a proud graduate of W. S. Creecy High School and North Carolina A&T State University, where he earned his degree in Animal Science. He dedicated more than 30 years to the N.C. A&T University Farm, where his leadership and passion shaped programs and inspired many.
In 1976, William married his beloved wife, Christine Ingram, and together they shared 49 years of love and devotion. He was a devoted and loving father to Chandra Smallwood and Dreama Singleton (Carl Jr), a proud grandfather to A’Liyah and Michael Jr. He recently celebrated the joy of becoming a great-grandfather to Michael Smallwood III.
He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Arthur and Sydney Boone; his brother, Darrell Boone and Tony Boone; and his sister, Brenda Breese. He is survived by his siblings: Arthur Boone Jr (Marcey), Moreno Valley, CA, and John Boone SR. (Mazie)

ILL. William W. Boone, 33°, was an active member at St Andrew’s Lodge #172 in Burlington, North Carolina, and the 1st LT, King Solomon Grand Council, and the National District Potentate. William’s dedication reached beyond his work and family. He
was a devoted member of A.A.S.R.M, where he served faithfully for over 30 years. His leadership as the 1st Lieutenant, King Solomon Grand Council, and National District Potentate reflected his lifelong commitment to service, fellowship, and faith.
A public viewing will be held at Perry J. Brown Funeral Home, 909 East Market Street, Greensboro, NC on Monday, September 22, 2025 from 2 p.m - 5 p.m.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at New
Light Missionary Baptist Church, located at 1105 Willow Rd., Greensboro,NC.Visitation 11:30am. Burial will follow on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the Boone Family Cemetery and Homestead 1.5 miles away from 1482 Tyler Road, Rich Square NC 27869
