Sallie will truly be missed by so many. She was such an outgoing loving person. Bubbly and full of energy. She loved hearing that her cousins and family members were doing well in life. She loved her family and and bragged on her sons and their family's also Dr. Monroe. She felt that one could accomplish anything one desired to accomplish. I'm glad our paths crossed on this journey. Love you always cousin. See you in the morning.
Dr. Joseph Monroe and Family, I am saddened to hear of the passing of your wife, mother, and loved one. I recall having met Mrs. Monroe many years ago at North Carolina A&T State University when I was working in the Computer Science Department, and Dr. Monroe was department chair. She and I had had several conversations during various occasions at the Monroe home, their church, and on A&T's campus— especially, after discovering we were both Fayetteville State University graduates/Broncos. She was a beautiful person with a warm and engaging presence. Dr. Monroe, please know that you and your family are in my prayers and thoughts at this time. Martha L Haigler - Greensboro, NC

Sallie loved the Lord Jesus Christ and we know she is rejoicing safe in His arms. Sallie doesn't have to imagine any more the glorious view that she sung about in church. She is there!! Praying your strength and peace in the Lord. The kelleys and McCormicks. Revelation 7:13-17
I knew Sallie as a sister in Christ at Cathedral of His Glory. I remember being tremendously honored that she joined our Women's Bible Study. She was such a lady, reminded me so much of my mother with her ideals about how she carried herself and expressed herself. She was special, not another one like her. Joe and Family I pray God's abundance of peace upon you all as you journey through this very difficult time Shirley P. Samuel

Sallie is an English baby girl's name that means "princess". However, Sallie McNair Monroe was a Queen on this earthly journey! Her love & essence was priceless! She was my beloved cousin that seemed more like an aunt & my dearest DST Soror! The words & scripture below are noted in her memory!
"Everyone understands that love comes in many different packages and is used in many different ways. You cannot love beyond your years, nor can you fail to love beneath them. In other words, I think you get the love you need when you open your heart."– Nikki Givovanni
[5] Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. [6] In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5-6
Love, Sophia Moore (McNair Family)
