I first met Tanya in 1996 when I was the Director of the VA office in Winston Salem, NC. I came across a complicated, sensitive legal case that no one had wanted to deal with. I asked the Chief of the local VA legal office for his best attorney. The next day, I met Tanya. It was the first of many cases that she handled and won for my office. She was knowledgeable, thorough and always relentless. She was not only a wonderful work associate, but she also became a close friend of my wife's and mine. She was a joy to be with. Funny, a bit outrageous and always ready with a quick -witted response. I had spoken to her on the phone just a few days before she passed. I am crushed that she is gone. Monty Montgomery
I had the pleasure of working with TB at VA. She was a fierce advocate with a great sense of humor. She was a true pleasure to work with.
My condolences to the Burton family in passing of Tanya. God bless you with peace and comfort like no other. Class of 74.
Although many years have past since our high school days, Tanya is remembered fondly and deeply. Blessings of comfort and peace to Tanya's family, friends, and associates whom Tanya touched immensely. The spirit of GOD is with you. Psalm 121. Frances Bradshaw and Family.
