Ms. Teressa Gillespie, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2024.
Teressa Gillespie, 63 of Greensboro, North Carolina transitioned peacefully on August 3, 2024, surrounded by her family at Beacon Place at AuthoraCare in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Teressa was born on January 13, 1961, in Greensboro, North Carolina, to the late Charles Simpson and the late Patricia Gillespie. She also resided in Greensboro, North Carolina. Teressa attended Gethsemane Hope Baptist Church in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, under the leadership of Pastor Robert Dikes. She was educated at Jackson Junior High School, Greensboro Technical Institute, and Rutledge College.
In addition to loving her family, she had a passion for writing that led her to publish two books, God Said and Shhh! Don't Tell—This Is My Story. She also enjoyed working with the elderly and was a Certified Nursing Assistant for about fifteen years.
Teressa was preceded in death by her son; Geberial Rayshone Gillespie, and her twin daughters: Frankie Nicole Gillespie and Temecca Gillespie.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son: Jamone Lashawn Gillespie; of Greensboro, North Carolina; her brother: James Gillespie of Rock Hill, South Carolina; and her sister: Rev. Geraldine Seagraves of Greensboro, North Carolina; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives, and friends.

Funeral service will be held Monday, August 12, 2024 12pm Cassie Coote- Brown Memorial Chapel at Perry J. Brown Funeral Home 909 East Market Street Greensboro, North Carolina. 11:30am Visitation.

Me and Teresa was friends for quite some time and I will miss her phone calls and seeing her on Sundays in church Teresa was a special friend one that I will never forget if you met her you would know why I love u my friend until we meet again Blessings too the family and may God strengthen you during this time of sadness 😢🙏♥️
I would like to express my sincere condolences to the Gillespie Family. I will remember Teressa and the poems she wrote and recited at church. She was such a great writer/author. Rest in Heaven
