I met Tony by My dear friend Carolyn Woodson at NC A&T in the cafeteria on campus. He was always polite, quiet and nice to me. I have know Tony for more than 30+ years. He love his family, his daughters Shannon and Tanisha. He was very helpful and always smiling. I will miss him and now he will be with Carolyn, watching over their young ladies. Rest Tony Barber! Coming to Greensboro every summer to spend my summer break with him and my other cousins is the thing I remember most about my cousin. He would instruct us in the ways of the country kid, and we would instruct him in the ways of the city boy.

I still find it difficult to comprehend how he managed to walk barefoot on scorching gravel rocks. Because of him, I became a big wrestling fan. I can still remember his love for Rick Flare, Tony Atlas, Wahoo McDaniels, and a host of other great wrestlers.

You will be missed, cuz.
