Vickie was more than a friend to me and my family. We worked together and often gathered to talk and laugh and of course would eat Vickie's famous pound cake. Im going to miss my friend. Our deepest condolences to All who had the honor to know Vickie. I Love you girl!!
God has spoken. I just learned of Soror Vickie's passing. I am shocked beyond words! She was my mentor when I first began my journey in administration at Archer Elementary. An awesome elementary school teacher, Soror Vickie gave love and was loved by all. She adopted and took my family and me under her wings throughout my 32 years in education. I thank God for her. Earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.
I first met Vickie our first year at Smith High School. Vickie was always so kind, considerate and, humorous. She truly saw the good in everyone. She left this world a better place. I and many others will miss her kind spirit. God bless her family and all who knew her. Stephanie Henderson
I will lovingly remember a woman who gave the very best of who God allowed her to be always. She was a great caregiver for her family members and an outstanding teacher who helped many students to succeed in the learning process. She was truly a charming person inside and out. Heaven has a new angel. 🙏🏿

Initiated into our sisterhood through Beta Iota Omega Chapter in 1980, Soror Vicki will be remembered fondly for her kind spirit, gentle heart, and unwavering dedication to service. Though she was not an active member at the time of her passing, her legacy as a devoted educator and longtime youth choir director speaks volumes about the love she poured into her community—especially the young people she taught, guided, and uplifted over the years.
