Mrs. Victoria Denise Evans was born October 17, 1953 in Greensboro, North Carolina to the late Bertina and Walter Sloan. Victoria departed this life suddenly on November 27, 2020 in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Victoria was a graduate of the last all black class of James B. Dudley High School in June 1971. Vickie, as she was known by all those who loved her, was a beautiful daughter, sister, mother, and wife. She relocated to Norfolk, Virginia where she lived with her husband, Wallace Evans. Vickie worked for the City of Norfolk Traffic Division for over 25 years as a School Crossing Guard, a job she loved and enjoyed without fail.
Vickie was preceded in death by two brothers, Timothy and Roland Sloan, and a sister, Walter Mae Sloan.
Vickie is survived by her husband, Wallace Evans of Norfolk, Virginia. She also leaves to cherish her memory her children, Veleka McLean (James) of Greensboro, North Carolina, Lawrence Perry Jr. (Rosemary) of Washington, DC, Teon Perry and Ebonee Perry, both of Norfolk, Virginia; three brothers, Reginald Sloan, Maurice Sloan, and Franklin Sloan; eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
