Alonzo H. Manns, 75, of Eden, NC passed December 22,2021. A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 30,2021 at Eden Garden Cemetery, Eden, NC.

Alonzo “Bobby” Howard Manns, 75, was called home by God to his peaceful resting place on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the Gibson House Hospice Home after an extended illness. He was surrounded by the love and care of his family and friends. He was born on October 10, 1946 in Roanoke, Virginia to the late Blanche and Zeb “Buddy” Manns. He was married to the late Betty G. Manns. Bobby accepted Christ at an early age and recommitted his life to Christ in the early 2000’s. He was a longtime member of Springfield Baptist Church, in Eden, NC, where he served as an usher prior to becoming ill. Bobby was employed with Thomas Hall Concrete in Eden for over twenty-five years. He enjoyed doing anything that would allow him to be outside especially his lawncare service that enabled him to help many people who were not able to maintain their lawns. Bobby also had gifted hands to fix anything that was broken. He enjoyed his family and friends but never shared too many words; just smiled. Bobby is survived by four children: Troy Lamont Manns (Michelle) of Graham, NC, Tonia Denise Manns of Chapel Hill, NC, Pat Galloway of Greensboro, NC, and Roderick Galloway (Sonya) of Concord, NC. He was preceded in death by his sister, Gwendolyn Dalton (Ted), and is survived by three sisters, Rosemaria Edmonds of Richmond, VA, Brenda Finney of Eden, NC, and Roberta Price (Lloyd) of Richmond, VA; two brothers, Monfread Manns (Lori) of Irvine, California and Robert Manns of Richmond, VA; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
